Childhood flashes by and before you know it they're all grown up. This blog exists to capture a little of our lives while the children are still so young...a little treasure box of memories.

Hardwick old Hall
After the visiting the New Hall, we quickly went into Bess' first house which was not in the same state as the Hall that she built. Still magnificent, a bit breezy though without doors and roofs :)

It's strange to see the fireplaces in the middle of the wall a few meters off the ground.

more fireplaces

We climbed to the top. It was VERY high!

View of the new Hall through the ruins.
This view made my heart flip flop

Back down to play on the steps that were used to climb onto your horse :)

This house must have been very impressive too in its time. Quite strange seeing it standing there so bare close to the other one.
